Power Greens Mask
This is one of my favorite masks and it will be yours too after your first try! It's all-natural with loaded benefits, It's also refreshing and cooling, giving your skin that clean glow.
Before we dive-in, here are some benefits of each of the ingredients to our skin -
- Rose Water: an anti-inflammatory that helps maintain the skin's pH balance, controls excess oil, strengthens skin cells and regenerate skin tissues, removes oil and dirt accumulated in clogged pores, and reduces redness
- Cocoa Powder: prevents sun damage and firms the skin
- Honey: lightens skin and its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial compounds help to decrease the appearances of scars and increase healing and tissue regeneration. A little tip -Get an unexpected pimple that you want to shrink and reduce the redness of it overnight? Simply dab honey on it and (optional) cover with a bandaid or a tiny piece of facial tissue. Wake up in the morning and voila!
- Chlorella: the blue-green algae rich in amino acids and antioxidants that help improve the production of your skin's collagen, the primary protein responsible for elasticity and anti-aging.It may protect skin cells from accelerated aging brought on by skin-damaging free radicals and sun damage. My favorite is a tablet from Sunfood that I crush and use in masks or smoothies or drink in tablet form once a day
- Moringa Powder: enhances natural skin tone and improves complexion for baby-soft skin. My favorite is from Ancestral Roots
- Corn Starch: firming, cooling, reduces redness, and a natural skin smoother
- Coconut Oil: moisturizing, natural bacteria killer, and helps soothe inflamed skin
- Aloe Vera: beta-carotene, vitamin C and E that help improve the skin's natural firmness and keep the skin hydrated
